After careful consideration and heartfelt reflection, I, Coach Jake, have made the decision to accept the head coaching position at the University of North Texas. This decision was not made lightly and follows weeks of thoughtful discussion with my family and close advisors.

My brief tenure at Liberty University has been both meaningful and transformative. I am deeply grateful to the Liberty community for the opportunity to lead the Flames, even for just a few weeks. The support and passion of the fans, the dedication of the student-athletes, and the administration's commitment have left an indelible mark on my life.

The decision to move was heavily influenced by a desire to be closer to family. As many of you know, family is a cornerstone of my life, and the opportunity to coach within a closer proximity to loved ones is something that I cannot overlook at this stage of my career. The chance to join UNT provides not only professional growth but also aligns with my family's needs.

I leave Liberty with a heavy heart but look forward to the challenge and excitement that comes with leading the Mean Green. I am eager to bring my philosophy of football and leadership to UNT and to continue building on the strong foundation that exists there.

To everyone at Liberty—thank you for your understanding and support. It has been an honor to be a part of this program. I wish the Flames nothing but success in the upcoming seasons.
